This is exactly what I was going to suggest. Sometimes all the chemicals in the products people use to try to “fix” a problem are actually what’s CAUSING the problem to begin with. Make sure to use a heat protectant if you blow dry, curl or iron your hair as well. Take a week off from your normal hair routine and wash with an all-natural baby shampoo (even Johnson’s contains unneccesary chemicals) and rinse with apple cider vinegar (don’t worry, the smell fades as soon as it’s dry, just like normal vinegar…I clean with distilled white vinegar and can’t STAND the smell, but it goes away within minutes).
Hi, I would recommended treating your hair from the inside out. The nutritional supplement Viviscal revitalizes and nourishes your hair restoring it to its natural health. Try it.
Redken Vinyl Glam is a great spray, Paul Mitchell Super Skinny is a wonderful serum. Another thing you can do which I very seldom reccomend because it’s from a box but buy a clear gloss from walmart. It’s in the hair color asile. The only reason I reccomend it is because it is non damaging, it does not lift color it’s just a clear deposit only.
Try the aveda store…..they have a hairspray called Brilliance…helps with shine. Also they have something in a blue container (I think) that shines the hair and smells yummy. Ask someone there. Also viviscal I hear can improve the look of your hair. Also, Redken has “glass” that gives shine. Chi has something the same. I also like Redken’s spray shine (little clear spray bottle, with clear liquid in in). Smells good, too.
My hair is the shiniest when I’m eating well, drinking lots of water, using my chi flat iron with the protecting serum, and the Redken spray shine. I get comments on it all the time.
the mint shampoo and conditioner from bath and body works rocks. its a little more expensive but its soooo good and it smells yummy. it always makes my skin tingle. i love it
I just got Loreal Natures Therapy creme conditioner at Sally, it helped a ton. It has sunflower seed oil. You can do a vinegar rinse to remove residue too, try that conidioner, then finish your style off with a shine serum. I got one at Sallys a while ago. Don’t remember the name, but it worked. You can also get a glaze (like a clear hair dye) put on your hair.
I asked my hair gal about that too, my issue is length though. The longer it gets, the less shine your ends naturally have. She recommended anything with sunflower seed oil, and when I asked alright, what has that, and what does she use, this was what she uses. It’s very light, and doesn’t leave that ‘product on your hair’ feeling.
Be aware that if you use Nioxin, although it works great, you have to use the whole system to get the best results. If you use other products like hairspry, mousse, etc they have to be Nioxin too or you completely defeat the purpose.
CHI has Power Plus and it works just as good as Nioxin if not better. Its natural and you can use any styling products without effecting the results. Good Luck! Have you seen a dermatologist or had your hormones and thyroid tested??
Arbonne has a shampoo and thermal fusion for scalp. The shampoo blocks a chemical which causes hair to thin and you no longer will get hair in hair brush nor shower drain. The thermal fusion will exfoliate the scalp and promote hair growth. The shampoo retails for $23.50 and thermal fusion $23.50. The shampoo will lasts about for 4-5 months. You also get a 45 day mb guarantee. We have had alot of testimonials of men and women their hair growing back. Also, what about your hormones? Hormones being out of balance will cause hair thinning.
